Hello All:
We are going into our third day of shooting. I want to thank our cast and crew for being such professionals. You are great to work with. Special thanks to Park Ave CDs for letting us shoot at the store. It looks great on film. Also, thank you to the night crew and the Marketing Director at Fashion Square Mall, you all are very nice. Well I have to go make food. Check out the stills by our set photographer Isabelle.

We start filming Friday!

Hello All:

Our film is cast- hopefully I will have new pictures of the cast on the next post. We want to once again thank everyone who auditioned. It's hard to choose. I will be e-mailing you shortly to see if you can be an extra during the mall scenes of our film.

This Friday we begin filming at a local music store then we have a night shoot at a local mall, after hours. It's exciting.

I'm super busy trying to keep up my grades, as well as maintaing this production.

Until the next post.

Lots of love,
René A.

I'm back

Hello All:

Afer a week long hiatus, my voice is back and this film is back on track. Now all I have to do is call Lisa and explain to her what's been going on.

Crew- so far:
Marcos Casilli, Director
Marco Cordero, Director of Photography
Georgninia Hurge, First Assistant Director

Our potential locations for this film are: Orlando Fashion Square Mall, Boardwalk Bowl, Park Ave Cd's, and hopefully Trinity Prep. I have a good feeling that everything is going to come together at once. Georginia is working hard putting together a crew and rallying extras. If you are interested in being an extra, e-mail her at

School Starts

I am so excited to be working with Marcos. This short serves two purposes. One, and most importantly, it is a good story about overcoming the changes that begin the moment you leave middle school. And two, working with Marcos on this short will give me a baseline to make sensible judgements when we film his feature next summer.

I would like to thank the UCF film teachers as well as Dean Schlow for allowing me to take on this pet project for my Capstone grade. Thanks.
